Carol Hill - Proprietor
I have 36 years experience in the industry. This was initiated by joining the Pony Club at the age of 10 years old. I competed in all disciplines in both teams and as an individual.
I began teaching from an early age and achieved the British Horse Society (BHS) Intermediate Instructors Examination.
I have been Chief Instructor for the Lancaster and District Branch of the Pony Club for many years and I am on the Pony Club's Specialist Courses list (this also includes Coaching and Assessing Pony Racing throughout the Country).
I am a Pony Club Examiner up to level A Care and I am also an Assessor for NVQ / Diploma Levels 1,2 and 3. I coach and assess for UKCC Levels 1 and 2 and hold my Level 4 Certificate in FE Training Stage 1.
I started the business of Beaumont Grange Equitation Centre 12 years ago, when Danielle Taylor chose a career in horse instead of nursing. Some years later, on leaving school, Rachel Hurst joined the Team and completed her Equine Qualification.
The three of us are all passionate about helping horse and riders achieve a better state of balance - whether it be for competition purposes, to be more effective and safe or to be able to pass examinations or just to achieve maximum enjoyment from horses and ponies.
All our horses are in BALANCE saddles to allow correct balance / movement and to assist riders to achieve a more balanced position

I started my training and competing 20 years ago when I got my first pony. I have always kept horses with Carol. Carol has taught me everything I know and it was through this training that I competed in many disciplines and passed all my exams.
I gained all my Pony Club Tests from D to A Care and then went on to gain my BHS Stage 3 Care and Riding, PTT and then completed my BHS AI.
During this time I competed in Pony Club Area Teams in Dressage, Show Jumping, Eventing and Mounted Games. I competed and was twice placed at the Royal International Horse Show in Working Hunter classes.
I have passed my UKCC Level 2 and I am an NVQ / Diploma trainer and assessor. I also passed my NVQ Level 3 in Horse Knowledge, Care and Riding and alos my Level 4 Certificate in FE Teaching Stage 1.
I am heavily involved in the Pony Club. I teach at our Pony Club Centre and our Branch. I have been training our Mounted Games Team for many years with much success at the National Championships.
We continue with our training and development in order to keep our knowledge and skills current

After having ridden from a young age, being a member of Lancaster and District Pony Club and competing in all disciplines, I finished school and began my career in the equine industry.
I trained at Beaumont Grange Farm Equitation Centre with Carol and Danielle for my equine qualifications where I gained the BHS AI, the UKCC Level 2 and NVQ Level 3 in Horse Knowledge, Management and Schooling of horses. I continued to develop my skills and achieved the Pony Club "AH" Test and the BHS Stage 4 Care exam (Intermediate Stable Managers) and Intermediate Teaching Examination. I am also an NVQ / Diploma Trainer and Assessor for Levels 1 and 2.
Throughout my years of training I have had my own horses and continued to compete. I regularly compete with my current horse including affiliated Show Jumping up to Foxhunter level. At this time Carol and I are working with 2 young horses going through the BALANCE Equine Pathway. They are making great progress and are exciting future prospects.
I now work from Beaumont Grange Farm Equitation Centre on a full time basis and carry out all yard duties and I am involved in all areas of training, coaching, schooling horses and with our Pony Club Centre.
I continue to develop my knowledge and experience and have now passed my BHS Stage 4 riding. So I now have my BHS II Qualifiaction.
